Traditional Attire
One of the most fun things for kids about the Teej festival is getting dressed up. The magnificent traditional attire and shiny jewellery make everyone appear like a prince or princess.
Girls wear beautiful green lehenga-cholis or colourful salwar-kameez outfits to celebrate Teej -
- This monsoon celebration is excellent for the green colour since it stands for nature and wealth.
- These clothes frequently include gorgeous needlework, mirror designs, and golden threads that shine in the sun.
- Wearing these traditional garments makes kids feel even more unique since it connects them to their culture.
- Boys wear colourful turbans and vivid kurta-pyjamas or dhotis.
-The yellow and green kurtas are quite popular during Teej. Some males wear ornate vests over their kurtas that are called "koti." These make them seem extremely gorgeous and traditional.
Jewellery is a big part of the charm of Teej festivities!
- Girls wear colourful glass bangles that generate pleasant noises when they flex their arms.
- Green bangles are quite essential because they show the mood of the occasion. Kids prefer to collect several colours of green bangles, such as emerald, mint, forest green, and lime green.
- Every step you take with silver anklets called "payal" makes a pleasant sound. Kids like to stroll and dance simply to hear the beautiful chimes their anklets produce.
- These things let kids feel like they're making their music as they move. To round off the festive style, use traditional earrings, necklaces, and hair accessories.
- Girls commonly wear flower garlands in their hair, while guys wear colourful dupattas around their necks.
- Older girls and teens like the "nath" custom of wearing a nose ring. Younger kids may safely take part in this custom using temporary stick-on nose jewellery.
Getting ready for Teej educates kids about this celebration!
